Pastor Jacqueline Harvey

     First Baptist Church called Pastor Jacqueline Harvey as our settled pastor in February 2023. She is not only a great match for our congregation, but also full of ideas for revitalizing our ministry.
          Pastor Jacqueline received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from American University and her Master of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity, both in Washington, D.C.
         Reverend Harvey has served in ministry for more than 15 years in Connecticut and Virginia.  She was first licensed to preach at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia, where she served as Associate Minister from May 2012 to September 2015.  Thereafter, she was licensed and ordained at Union Baptist Church in Hartford, Connecticut, where she served as Associate Pastor for three years. She went on to serve as an Interim Pastor at Putnam Baptist Church from May 2020 to September 2022.  
          Reverend Harvey is committed to the work of the church and the community.  With a heart for outreach and missions, she enjoys ministering at homeless shelters, senior centers, parks, and hospitals.
